I recently bought a David Pal 36 with CES and I've been using it a lot but it doesn't seem to be having much if any effect on me. I've been doing Alpha and Theta sessions but I don't really feel particularly relaxed during or after the session. Maybe I do a little sometimes, but not enough to say for sure. This must mean that the David is not leading me to generate those brainwaves, or I would feel more relaxed or something different right? In all of the testimonials, and everything I've read, it seems to work for everyone right away. I've tried a lot of the sessions but not all of them - do I just need to find the right session? Or should I be doing something different during the session? Or are there some people it just doesn't really work for? Thank you to anyone who can help me with this.

Re: New sound and light machine not doing much for me
Sun, April 8, 2007 - 8:26 PMI am speaking in generalities, understand, and my own feelings on it. I am difficult to relax, and what i have found to be effective, is programs (from a dinosaur of light machines) that only use theta to tune me in, and them descend rapidly into delta, especially with programs designed for deep and rythmic breathing. Thats just my take on it. -

Re: New sound and light machine not doing much for me
Thu, May 17, 2007 - 3:05 PMYou might benefit form using a relaxation cd~ maybe something guiding you to relax various parts of your body~eyelids, jaw, etc. I believe the D P has a port for some type of cd player. Dont give up. At times it can be hard to get the A/T weave effect, it takes some training.so dont worry about "right away" you will be fine. Also if you find that the lights are distracting leave them off and see what happens with audio only. In this busy world quieting down takes some doing. Good luck & keep us posted.
