Throw Away Those Light Glasses

I want to run the light stimulus from my light/sound (L/S) machine through a strobe light.

One or two lights would be optimal. Keeping the left-right specificity would be nice, but it is not a priority for me.

My goal is to have the L/S entrainment with a minimum of wires and a maximum of degree of freedom of movement. It is easy to run the sound portion of the L/S through a stereo; but the light portion is problematic. I don't know that much about electronics.

Hardware: I use the Proteus and InnerPulse L/S machines.

Any ideas would be helpful.

You could use a relay system the output signal driving a solid-state relay that would switch power to strobe light leave strobe on continuous light mode. Probably within a strobe you have the timing circuit that you could reroute the signal from your light machine into the strobe directly. You would have to match Amps and voltage, and of course understand where the driving circuit is.

But the bottom line is yes it can be done, I've been considering the possibility also in doing a group entrainment, actually the history of photon induction frequency following response was originally done was strobes in the pre LED age.

*shameless plug* what you guys need to do is find a friend who knows about electronics who would be willing and able to create something that would do this... *end shameless plug*

as far as i know, this hasnt been done, but i know it can be done (hint)
